  • 21 oz strawberry pie filling

  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter Make sure butter is evenly distributed.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest

Baking Steps

  • Spread strawberries evenly in the baking dish.
  • Pour strawberry pie filling over the fresh strawberries.
  • Add vanilla extract, sugar, and lemon zest over the fruit.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top without mixing.
  • Place thin slices of butter across the entire surface.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
